Dr Caroline Guirgis

General Practitioner

MBBS (UNSW), FRACGP, DCH

Dr Caroline Guirgis is a specialist General Practitioner. She has a strong belief in providing thorough, evidence based, whole-person care.

She has several special interests including Women's Health, Antenatal Shared Care and Sexual and Reproductive health. She has completed extra training with Family Planning Australia including Implanon insertion and removal.

Having children of her own, Caroline loves seeing children as patients. She has a Diploma of Child Health from the Sydney Children's Hospital Network and her clinical experience includes further training  at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.

Dr Guirgis endeavours to focus on preventative health, as well as the problem at hand. She enjoys management of chronic diseases and she has seen first hand how taking a proactive approach leads to positive outcomes. She believes good communication is crucial to delivering the highest standard of healthcare.

She is involved in the training of future specialist General Practitioners. As well as this, she is part of a team that develops guidelines in collaboration with hospitals in order to optimise patient care.

Dr Guirgis was born and raised in the Sutherland Shire and is looking forward to giving back to the local community.

• Antenatal Shared Care (Accredited at Sutherland Hospital, St George Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital)

• Sexual Health (including PREP prescribing)

• Children's Health (Diploma of Child Health from Sydney Children's Hospital Network)
