Practice Nurse

An exciting opportunity arises for a nurse to work in a team that is caring, flexible, patient focussed and values driven. We are looking for a practice nurse to join our growing, dynamic family medical practice.  

KFMP provides a family medical practice that is evidence-based, patient focused, holistic and values driven! The practice has substantially grown and plans to continue this trajectory, so this is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to get involved and help with growth and development.

The days and hours are flexible – we will make the right job to suit the right applicant. Renumeration is commensurate with your skills and experience.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Patient care, including procedural assistance, wound management
  • Chronic disease management
  • Involvement in our team approach to quality improvement
  • Immunisation skills and experience
  • Ordering and stock management
  • Assistance with the practice accreditation cycle  
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • Recent nursing experience, General Practice experience in not essential.
  • Preferred experience with Best Practice (computer software)
  • Excellent time management and organization skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent attitude and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Preferably a nurse immuniser
  • Current AHPRA registration and CPR/BSL certification

General Practitioner

We have sessional rooms available to a GP seeking a practice to provide a quality service.  

KFMP is a well-established medical practice that has been operational for over 30 years. We have transitioned to a new generation of GP ownership, and bring a young and enthusiastic view point for how GP’s of the next generation can be supported to care for their patients. We have sessions available from 1-5 days a week, and we are looking for a local GP with ideas and values that align with a specialist family medicine practice of the future.

We are a caring, supportive practice who are happy to adapt and listen to you, to work with you, so that you feel part of a team who you can trust and grow with.

The Space

A heritage listed house, we are located along primary infrastructure and alongside a main train station and carpark. Our clinic offers a welcoming, functional layout. We have two treatment rooms and our GP rooms are recently fit-out and accommodate all patients with auto height-adjustable examination beds, natural light, and greenery.

Receptionist

Renumeration is commensurate with your skills and experience.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Front desk duties dealing with patients/partners
  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting patient with general enquiries
  • Scheduling patient appointments
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient accounts
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • Recent medical reception/ practice management experience
  • Preferred experience with Best Practice
  • Experience with medical billing, Medicare and Private payments
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent attitude and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to work flexible hours
