She completed her Internship and Medical residency at The Alfred Hospital, Melbourne and undertook specialty training in Paediatrics, working as a Paediatric trainee at Canberra Hospital, Sutherland Hospital and The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick. Before becoming a doctor Kate was a Physiotherapist, completing her studies at the University of Sydney in 2008. She worked as a musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist as an Emergency Department Physiotherapy practitioner assessing and managing acute injuries and pain.

Dr Kate has a special interest in women’s and children’s health and has completed additional training in managing women throughout pregnancy and post-partum. As a mum herself, Dr Kate understands first-hand the challenges faced by new parents, and this further developed her interest in perinatal medicine. She is passionate about promoting children’s health and development and enjoys collaborating with specialist paediatric teams for the management of children with chronic health conditions.

Dr Kate grew up in the Sutherland Shire and when she is not at work you’ll likely find her at the beach with her twin daughters. When she gets the free time, she also enjoys Pilates and walks in The National Park.
