Dr Ryan Barton completed his Doctor of Medicine at The University of Sydney and is currently working towards a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Prior to KFMP he worked in a range of specialties at Campbelltown, Bankstown and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and later at Earlwood General Practice.

He grew up in the Riverina, country NSW and travelled a long path into medicine which has given him broad life experience and areas of interest.

His main passion in General Practice is Paediatric Medicine with experience at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. His empathy for the challenges of parenting, including having unwell children, has grown since having two daughters of his own.

As a former professional Rugby League player, passionate amateur cyclist, Crossfitter and generally active person he has a particular interest in Sports Medicine, exercise and fitness. More recently he has developed a particular interest in Men’s Health, tackling often difficult to discuss matters with a non-judgmental approach.

Dr Ryan prides himself on developing partnerships with patients and taking the time to understand their needs and working together for a clear solution. He has joined KFMP eager to meet new patients in The Shire and help them navigate the complex healthcare system to achieve the best outcomes for patients and their families.
