Dr Sasha Cooper

she/her

Dr Sasha Cooper completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales, then worked as a junior doctor in Wollongong and Shellharbour Hospitals. She has worked at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre and published research involving populations dependent on prescription opioids. She is excited to be completing her training in General Practice in the Sutherland Shire.


Dr Cooper enjoys developing meaningful partnerships with patients and providing holistic longitudinal care. She has a strong interest in in preventative health and optimising chronic disease. Another area of interest is monitoring and supporting nutrition in those with restricted diets. Adhering to a vegan diet herself, she understands the importance of providing thorough medical care and supporting individual choices without judgement.


Having grown up in the Blue Mountains, Dr Cooper has enjoyed living in the Sutherland Shire and exploring the nearby national parks. Outside of work her interests include animal welfare, gardening, weight training and taking her greyhound to the beach.
