Dr Zoe Burns

General Practitioner

BMed DCH FRACGP

Dr Zoe Burns is a specialist General Practitioner. She graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2014 and completed her General Practitioner training in Townsville. During this time, she worked in a variety of medical and surgical specialties, rural and Indigenous communities, urban GP and sports medicine. She has completed a Diploma of Child Health and is a Hepatitis B prescriber.


Dr Burns enjoys the challenge and variety that General Practice provides and strives to deliver patient centered, evidence-based care to patients at all ages and stages of life.


Dr Burns has a keen interest in Veteran health and Defence families.  Having served over fifteen years in the Australian Defence Force, she appreciates the challenges that face current and ex-serving members and their families.


Dr Burns has experience in Sports Medicine including rugby league and boxing coverage.  She is the NRL Women’s Cronulla Sharks Chief Medical Officer and also works at Sports Medicine Institute where she sees all new patients with sporting injuries and musculoskeletal presentations.
